Be My Neighbor Sew Along

Block 1 of our Be My Neighbor Sew Along Quilt above, along with Sophie Bunny and some of her friends from a neighborhood we treasure.

Just as I begin to prepare for my next trip to Quilt Market, I’ve decided now’s a good time for me to pop up a new page here at the blog – in support of my block versions of Moda’s Be My Neighbor Sew Along, which started out as weekly blog posts. That’s all well and good until you’re all weeks in and you’re looking for one specific spot to find all the block blueprints!  A recap:

At Quilt Market last May, Moda introduced a pretty happy sew along project we here in the Woods started with our  September 8th Post. using Basic Grey’s Grunges.  As I’ve gone along, I’ve decided to plant this page here so even if I’m not blogging about the blueprint of the week, you can find it here, with a photo of my block and the actual fabrics I used beneath each photo. A little easier, for you and for me!

Othewise – from now on, every Monday, you’ll find a new photo of my block version over at Instagram (which will be your clue that you can find the blueprint for the week over here…below:

I get that the pattern calls for a mailbox in the lower left hand corner there, but since my house represents a special house where a mailbox isn’t needed (with Mr. McFeeley’s Speedy Delivery, and all), I whipped up a Trolley instead. I don’t exactly have a pattern written up but if you’re interested in making this trolley on a personal quilt for a special little person, ping me. I’d be happy to collaborate with you 🙂 Fabrics are: 273 Moutarde, 165 Black, 335 Boysenberry, 335 Cherry, 91 Vanilla
